MAYVILLE – A Bemus Point man was arrested in Mayville early Thursday morning after police reportedly found two stun guns and a large amount of drugs inside his vehicle.
Sheriff Deputies pulled over 41 year-old Gary Hannold II around 3:45 a.m. near the intersection of Sea Lion Drive and Mill Street in Mayville.
Police say Hannold allegedly had an electronic stun gun in his possession and a further search of his vehicle turned up a second stun gun and 37 grams of methamphetamine, four grams of crack cocaine, over two ounces of marijuana. Also inside the vehicle was a digital scales, packaging materials, and a quantity of cash.
Hannold was arrested and charged with 2 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance – 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance – 4th degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon – 3rd degree, Criminal Possession of Marihuana – 4th degree, and Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia – 2nd degree.
He was arraigned and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail without bail.
