February 11, 2016 By WRFA Radio 3 Comments

Pennsylvania_State_Police 1WARREN, PA – Pennsylvania State Police have reportedly found the body of a teenager who’s been missing since late Friday morning.

State police say the murdered body of 18 year-old Marcus Mattson was recovered after a suspect confessed to the crime of killing him. Police say 25 year-old James McDaniel of Russell is currently in custody after allegedly admitting to the homicide. Police say a second suspect is also in custody and being brought to Warren County in connection with the death. The murder is being reported by the Post-Journal as being drug related.

Mattson was last seen late Friday morning. His vehicle was found on fire late Sunday night in a remote area of Warren County near Youngsville. More details are expected to be released later Thursday.

I know Marcus’ mother. I am so sad this happened to him. He was a good kid who had lost his way a little. No one – no matter what they are into deserve to have their life taken.
