Authorities Investigate Suspicious Death of 2-Year-Old at Ashville Daycare Facility

ASHVILLE – WIVB TV is reporting Tuesday that the death of a 2-year-old toddler in North Harmony is considered suspicious.

Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Deputies and New York State Police are on the scene at Little Racer’s Daycare at 5227 Rt 474 in Ashville. Police didn’t say exactly when the toddler died, and wouldn’t immediately confirm the location of his death. Following the initial investigation, police say they detained a 14-year-old female.

An autopsy is underway at the Erie County Medical Center. Police say they’re waiting on results to learn more about the details surrounding the death.
