JAMESTOWN – It was a perfect late-October day as hundreds of people flocked to the historic Erie – Lackawanna Train Station in downtown Jamestown today. After more than a decade of working to secure funding to renovate the station, a ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremony took place under clear-blue skies. Dozens of officials attended the event, including U.S. Senator Charles Schumer, Congressman Brian Higgins, Assemblyman Andy Goodell, County Executive Greg Edwards and Jamestown Mayor Sam Teresi.
