JAMESTOWN – The Salvation Army Anew Center (Facebook)- a non-profit organization that provides free and confidential services to victims of domestic violence, rape, and sexual assault in Chautauqua County – is encouraging the public to take part in its annual fundraising event the second weekend of June. You can help support The Anew Center by attending the 6th Annual “5K Anew Run and Walk” taking place on Saturday, June 9 at 9:30 a.m. in downtown Jamestown. Awards will be provided to each age group and prizes will be given to the individual and group that raises the highest amount of pledges.
Pre-register for the Anew Centers 5K Run and Walk before May 26th by calling (716) 661-3894 or register online at active.com. Participants may also register the day of the event, June 9, between 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. at The Salvation Army gym on 83 South Main St., Jamestown. The race starts at 9:30 a.m., rain or shine.
