JAMESTOWN – About 40 people gathered Friday along W. Second St. between Main and Cherry Streets to protest The Post-Journal for what it claims is a misrepresentation of the community and publishing slurs and insults toward certain groups of people.
Protesters carrying signs denouncing the paper for biased reporting of community opinions, in addition to allowing hate speech to be printed both online and in the print edition of the newspaper, picketed for about 45 minutes Friday afternoon.
While he did not provide a statement to WRFA, Post-Journal Publisher Michael Bird made a statement in the newspaper, saying appreciates their passion to make their opinion known through public protest.
