JAMESTOWN – Three people were arrested on drug charges Tuesday morning following a traffic stop in downtown Jamestown.
City police say the stop took place just before 8 a.m. at the intersection of Eighth and North Main Streets, just before 8 a.m.
An officer with the Police Department’s bike patrol noticed a suspicious vehicle and stopped it for a traffic violation.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as 37 year-old Chad Nelson of Jamestown, had a suspended driver’s license. A further investigation led to the discovery of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
Also inside the vehicle were 32 year-old Heather Crilley of Ashville and 35 year-old Manda Moffett of Jamestown.
All three were arrested on drug charges and sent to the city jail to await arraignment.
