SINCLAIRVILLE – A wildlife sanctuary in central Chautauqua County is seeing several of its exotic animals being removed from its care.
According to media reports, JNK’s Call of the Wild Sanctuary in Sinclairville had 19 exotic animals – including tigers, lions, wolves and bears – seized by state officials from the State Police and Department of Environmental Conservation. The animals were seized as the result of expired permits and licenses that had allowed the owners of the property to keep the animals.
All the animals that were taken are being sent to other sanctuaries in the country.
