JAMESTOWN, NY – The Jamestown Police Department is continuing its investigation into a shooting incident that took place Monday night in the downtown and sent a 10 year old to the hospital.
Jamestown Police Captain Robert Samuelson says the incident took place at 411 E. Second St. at about 9:20 p.m. Police were called to the area after multiple gun shots were fired into the residence. On arrival, they learned that a 10 year-old victim was hit and transported to WCA Hospital, and then airlifted to Buffalo Children’s Hospital where further treatment is being provided.
UPDATE: According to Jamestown police on Tuesday afternoon, the child is in stable condition with non life threatening injuries.
Police say they are currently working to identify the suspect or suspects involved in the incident.
