JAMESTOWN – City police are investigating another home invasion incident that took place early Tuesday morning on Hedges St.
On Tuesday July 15 at about 1:10 a.m., Jamestown Police officers responded to 100 Hedges St. on a report of a stabbing at the location. Upon arrival, officers were advised that two males entered the home armed with knives and stabbed one of the occupants, an unidentified male, in the chest before robbing him of cash and other property.
The suspects were reportedly wearing clothing to cover their faces but one of the suspects is believed to be a black male with darker skin and the other male is reportedly lighter skinned based on witness information. The suspects were able to flee the area before police arrived on the scene. Police say the victim was taken to WCA hospital for his injuries and is listed in stable condition.
It is the second home invasion to occur in the city within the past month. On July 1, a home invasion took place on Falconer St. that involved at least seven suspects, with six of them being apprehended by police within 72 hours after taking place. Police also emphasize that the latest incident was not a random act of violence and that the location and occupants appear to have been targeted by the suspects.
Anyone with information on the identities of the two suspects is asked to contact the Jamestown Police Department at 483-7537 or they can leave an anonymous tip at 483-8477 (Tips). All calls will be kept confidential.
